Tahoe Donner’s inaugural Taste of Truckee on-snow gourmet food and wine event will debut at the Tahoe Donner Cross Country Ski Center March 23. This event, which will take place even though the Cross Country Ski Center is closed for skiing, is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts and foodies alike.
Admission to the event includes a voucher for a one-day trail pass for next season ($27 value), plus food and wine sampling, a raffle ticket, disc golf and cornhole games, and carnival games for the kids.
Indulge in a variety of food samples from local restaurants along with a selection of delicious wines from the following participating restaurants and wineries:
- The Lodge Restaurant & Pub
- Pizza on the Hill
- Alder Creek Café at Tahoe Donner Cross Country
- Drunken Monkey
- Wild Cherries
- Jax at the Tracks
- Whole Treats Bakery
- Pianeta Ristorante
- Truckee River Winery
- Michael David Winery
- Artesa Vineyards & Winery
The tour will take place from 12:30-2:30 p.m. with après fun taking place until 4:30 p.m. The cost for the event, including trail pass, is $35 for adults and $20 for 18 and under if purchased in advance or $45 for adults and $30 for 18 and under the day of the event (non-alcoholic beverages only for under 21).
